The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago is the largest science museum in the western hemisphere. It’s a popular destination for both residents and tourists alike, and its website is used for a myriad of different reasons, from planning a trip to finding educational resources.
This small-scale usability study served to identify how well the Museum of Science and Industry website meet the needs of its teacher audience.
Participants were asked to look for specific K-12 education-related information and carry out the type of tasks that teachers in the school system would need to find or do when visiting the Museum of Science and Industry with their students. The test results identified what tasks users could easily complete and identified pain points with the website usage.
