User Experience Research
Volunteer Website Study
A usability study and partnership with the Forest Preserve s of Cook County volunteer department. The Forest Preserves of Cook County volunteer website was analyzed and tested to better understand the overall ease of use and usability of the website. A multi-step research process was undertaken as a way to identify the strengths and pain points of the current website design.
The entire project consists of the following:

Heuristic Evaluation
Heuristic evaluation completed to identify usability problems prior to user research and testing.
User Research
Survey and interview based user research performed to better understand website users, including: demographics, user expectations, user personality traits, user goals, and website preferences.
Personas
User research identified four personas that were created to create a realistic representation of the audience for user testing.
User Stories
Given feedback from user research and heuristic evaluation, each persona was assigned representative user stories with associated acceptance criteria.
Usability Testing Materials
Test protocol with four scenarios and associated task protocol used to better understand the current website usability.
